If you ask any Brit about Americans, chances are they might have preconceived notions about their ways.

But it turns out our cousins across the pond have a fair few assumptions about us.

One helpful US resident has shared his findings on a lengthy Facebook post that's gone viral.

Scott Waters is a painter, designer and tech geek who lives in St Augustine, Florida.

But after a sabbatical in southwest England, and another trip to Ireland, he's qualified to make the judgements.

He posted his massive list of observations on his Facebook page last month and it's already been liked more than 78,000 times .
