Far-right activist's shocking rant on Channel 4 News: 'Take in a Syrian refugee, I hope you don't get raped'

A far-right activist told a student campaigner "take in a Syrian refugee, I hope you don't get raped" in a shocking rant during a debate on Channel 4 News .

Ex-BNP member Jack Buckby, who last year stood in the by-election triggered by Labour MP Jo Cox's murder, prompted gasps in the studio with a furious outburst at Barbara Ntumy.

The pair were both panelists on a discussion about the so-called "alt right" on the channel's evening news programme tonight.

Buckby launched into an angry tirade after Ntumy, a political activist from the National Union of Students black students’ campaign, questioned his claim that he only wanted "people who are drain on society" to be deported from the UK.

After Ntumy asked "who gets to decide who is a drain on society", the right-winger accused her of "faux outrage" and produced a form to apply for Syrian refugees.

Buckby said: "You know what, put your money where your mouth is - Syrian refugees application form.

"Take one home, take in a Syrian refugee. I hope you don't get raped."

Ntumy was briefly left open-mouthed and apparently speechless by the outburst, while a male voice elsewhere in the studio could be heard exclaiming: "Oh my God."

Krishnan Guru-Murthy later branded Buckby producing the application form a "stunt", adding: "Let's just ignore that."

Buckby was branded "vile" by viewers on Twitter following his shocking rant.

Alex Bradbrook wrote: "The audible gasp in the #C4News studio at @jackbuckby's disgusting arguments kinda tells it all. The alt right are scum of the earth."

Rhammel Afflick tweeted: "Wow, what @BarbaraNtumy had to face on @Channel4News is SHOCKING. What have I just watched, please?"

Jennifer McGee said: "Jack Buckby is vile... watching #channel4news on +1 and shocked at hearing him say 'I hope you don't get raped' talking about Syrian refugees".

Buckby ran for anti-Islam party Liberty GB in Batley and Span despite the major parties opting not contest the seat following the Labour MP's killing by far-right extremist Thomas Mair.

He received 220 votes.

Set up in 2013, Liberty GB wants to ban all immigration to Britain for 5 years, scrap all government equality quangos and reverse "the Islamisation of Britain".
