Bluedot Festival adds more acts to 2017 line up

Goldfrapp, Vitalic and Hawkwind are among the acts joining the bill at Jodrell Bank in Macclesfield this summer

Bluedot Festival 2017

Bluedot Festival has announced the second wave of acts performing at this year's event at Jodrell Bank.

Electronic art-pop duo Goldfrapp join the bill with the promise of new material from anticipated seventh album Silver Eye, along with legendary space-rock survivors Hawkwind.

French electronic maestro Vitalic will also be bringing his genre-busting blend of techno, electro, house and disco to the line-up.

The DJ ranks have also swelled with the addition of Mr Scruff, DJ Yoda, Eddy Temple Morris and DJ Cheeba, as well as Hot Chip frontman Joe Goddard and Late Night Tales presenting Nightmares On Wax.

Elsewhere on the bill are Space Afrika, Will Tramp, Dream Wife, Galaxians, Sweat, Xam Duo, WH Lung, DJ Woody, Kelly Lee Owens, Andy Votel presents History of Space Rock, Post War Glamour Girls and Annabel Fraser.

The newly announced acts join previously-revealed headliners Orbital, Pixies and alt-J at the event, which takes over the Macclesfield observatory from July 7 to 9.

Also already confirmed are Soulwax, performing with their full electronic live show, LA dream-pop four piece Warpaint and a UK festival exclusive from psych-swing revolutionaries Ezra Furman and The Boyfriends.

Other highlights include experimental Squarepusher project Shobaleader One, Manchester synth-pop prodigy Shura, the legendary Andrew Weatherall, post-industrial duo Factory Floor, anarchic art-rockers Moonlandingz and electro-pop singer-songwriter Boxed In.
