Food and drink festival Manchester Eats is coming to Heaton Park in the summer - with FREE fun for kids

The outdoor weekender will feature an interactive Kids' Village with a vintage fun fair, crafts and more

A new two-day food and drink festival is coming to Heaton Park next summer.

Manchester Eats will be 'a celebration of the best food and drink in Manchester' and will see the park transformed into an outdoor, 'artisan feastival' featuring international cuisine, distillates and celebrity chef demonstrations.

As well as signature restaurant classics, real-ale craft beers, creative cocktail concoctions and 'some of the UK’s tastiest street-food', the outdoor weekender will include an interactive Kids' Village, with a vintage fun fair, arts and crafts and more.

For the grown ups there'll be a prosecco tent, a gin garden with northern favourites such as Manchester Gin, and a 'wine journey' - offering a citrusy collection of international wines, straight from the vineyards.

There'll be plenty on offer for sweet-toothed visitors too, including gooey chocolate brownies, salted-caramel topped waffles and freshly-baked cookies among the Sweet Treats, with a cafe area for those wanting to stop off for a coffee and some chocolate truffles.

A Global Food Court will feature foods from around the world, with Urban Eats offering 'speciality dishes from all corners of the globe'.

The event - from SK Events, the team behind the hugely successful Liverpool Food and Drink Festival and Liverpool Spring Festival - is taking place over the weekend of July 7 and 8.
