9 reasons why we love the Kazimier Garden

The roaring BBQ, the laid-back vibe, the twinkling lights in winter - and that's just for starters

When the Kazimier closed its doors on New Year's Eve, it felt like the end of an era in Liverpool.

The beloved music venue in Wolstenholme Square may be no more (although the bods behind it have created a new venture at the Invisible Wind Factory) but what remains is one of Liverpool's worst kept secrets - and one of its best bar crawl stops.

Here's why we're a little bit in love with the Kazimier Garden.

It's here to stay

When Liverpool said goodbye to the Kazimier, many people might have thought the garden would be bidding farewell too. But it's still going strong - in fact, its future has been secured for at least another 15 years. That's a whole lot of lazy summer evenings to get through.

Its independent spirit

The Kazimier was one of the city's most cherished independent venues, attracting plenty of creative, like-minded souls who came together to collaborate and celebrate.

The venue may be no more, but the spirit of the Kazimier is very much alive and well in the Garden.

The live music

In true Kazimier style, the heart of the garden is the live music. No matter when you visit, there's always someone on the bandstand-style stage providing chilled out tunes that add to the ambiance of the garden.
