Everton’s win over Southampton represented a Premier League first this season.
By naming Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Tom Davies in the starting line-up, Ronald Koeman became the first manager of the 2016/17 campaign to start two teenagers in the same side.
Not bad, considering the Dutchman faced critcism for not utilising the youngsters earlier in the season.
Davies first appeared for the Blues in May, while new recruit Calvert-Lewin was thrust into senior football just last month.
Both can now be considered real options for the first team.
But who could follow them?
Liam Walsh
Having signed a new contract last year, keeping him at Everton until 2019, the 19-year-old central midfielder is keen on securing a first-team start. The captain for the Under-23s, who joined the Academy aged five, has already taken part in training sessions with the senior squad at the start of the season and spent time with Koeman during pre-season.
Having already represented England at Under-16 and Under-18 level, and scoring a sensational goal from the half way line against Derby for the Blues back in 2015, could he be the next to rise through the ranks?

He made his professional debut for Bury in their Capital One Cup Clash with Leicester City in the 2015/2016 campaign, after signing a professional contract with the Shakers in February 2015. He is now the latest in a line of highly promising young central defensive prospects after moving to Everton last year for an undisclosed fee.
The 18-year-old made trial appearances for the club for both the Under-18s and Under-21s after an agreement was announced, and scored against Tottenham’s Under-21s back in August.
Antonee Robinson
The highly-rated left back has with a number of injuries keeping him out of action for a while, but that has not stopped his ability to make an impression. The youngster joined the Everton Academy at the age of 11 and he’s since made a handful of appearances for David Unsworth’s side, having signed his first pro deal in July 2015.
Robinson travelled with the first team to Singapore that summer as part of the squad for the Barclays Asia Trophy, and signed a new one-year deal keeping him at the club until the summer of 2017.
Kieran Dowell
The Ormskirk-born youngster made his Premier League debut in a 2-1 win over Bournemouth, and made his first full start in the 3-0 defeat of Norwich City. His efforts awarded him with a new three-year contract in the summer, having scored 11 times for the Under-21s. His senior Everton debut came in the Europa League against FC Krasnodar in December 2014.
Dowell has been highlighted already by the international recognition he has received, appearing regularly for England Under-16s and Under-17s, and is known to play in a variety of attacking positions.
Bassala Sambou
Sambou arrived at Everton on a three-year deal in June 2016 from Coventry City. The 19-year-old impressed with his 25 goals in 2015/2016 whilst representing the club’s Under-18s and Under-21s sides, and played a key part during Coventry’s FA Youth Cup run, scoring eight times.
He made his senior Coventry debut in the FA Cup first round against Northampton in November 2015. The talented striker rejected other offers to sign for Everton.
