Former Leicester City players have been reacting manager Craig Shakespeare sacking – and giving their backing to various candidates.
The former City keeper and now pundit Mark Schwarzer warned that getting a big-name candidate was not necessarily the best plan.
He told the BBC: “ It’s too early to sack him. He got a response from the players, you saw that last season. There are signs that they are not far away from it. They have played four of the top teams and it was a really, really tough start to the season.
Carlo Ancelotti, would he really be suitable for a club like Leicester? I’m not quite so sure.I think there is a danger that if you get the biggest possible name, then you are not necessatrily getting the right person.”
Former City striker Iwan Roberts believes his fellow countryman Chris Coleman would be interested in the role.
"Would Chris be interested? I think he would," former Wales striker Roberts told BBC Sport Wales.
"It's coming towards the end of his contract with the FAW.
"He's made no secret that he wants to get back into club football, but Leicester's a good club.

"I had three happy years there, very passionate fans.They've got a great owner who will back the new manager.
"Of course I'd be so disappointed to see Chris Coleman leave the Welsh camp, but I could understand him going to a Premier League club."
Fellow former striker Paul Dickov is backing the early favourite Sam Allardyce for the job.
He told TalkSport: "Any job that comes up in the Premier League, you have got to say Big Sam is the best fit.
"He has been there, seen it and done it before. He knows how to get teams out of relegation battles, he knows how to set them up and he knows the Premier League inside out.
"Whether he is a big enough name for the owners, I don't know. I think that was Craig's biggest problem."
City legend Steve Walsh has said that Shakespeare's sacking shows just how 'cut-throat' football has become.

He said: “We know what football management industry is now - it's very cut throat.
"It was a poor game on Monday night against West Brom and football managers now if they don't get a win in six or seven games then the pressure's on. Unfortunately for Craig Shakespeare, this is what's happened.
"He's a great guy and a great coach but expectations are really high and he's one win away from 10th place in the league - it does seem harsh but unfortunately that is football management now.
"He'll always be remembered in Leicester City's famous year of winning the Premier League, but the owners have invested a hell of a lot of money into this team and there are four or five players there that are underperforming."
