Derby County have had a £3m bid rejected for Birmingham City’s Che Adams, according to reports.

The Rams had been linked with a move for the 21-year-old and it appears their first move for the forward has been knocked back.

Fulham have already had a bid rejected for Adams, and now Derby are in the same boat, reports the Birmingham Mail.

Gary Rowett was in charge of Birmingham when Adams was signed from Sheffield United. He has been tipped for a big season in the upcoming campaign.

Adams was also believed to be on Derby's radar while at Ilkeston, before he moved to the Blades.

Derby are keen to strengthen their attacking options before the transfer window shuts, having sold both Tom Ince and Will Hughes.

The Rams have already been knocked back in their attempts to sign Leicester City’s Tom Lawrence, having a £7m offer rejected.
