Annan Athletic boss Jim Chapman blasted the referee after their trip to Elgin City ended in a mass brawl.
The visiting gaffer was sent to the stands in the final minutes of the game after Kevin Graham awarded the hosts a controversial late penalty which they converted for a final score of 2-2.
That cost Annan all three points and all but ended their title hopes.
And that was before a dangerous late tackle by Elgin City’s Mark Nicholson on Smart Osadolor sparked carnage which continued down the tunnel at the full-time whistle.
Matty Flynn was sent off during the rammy – which also saw an office window smashed inside the main stand at Borough Briggs.
Chapman’s fury was firstly directed at Elgin’s Dylan Easton who won the controversial penalty which the Annan boss thought was a dive.
The manager said: “I’m going to get done for saying this but it was never a penalty.
“He (Easton) has done exactly the same thing before and I told people it would happen. The ref cost us the game.

“Everybody knows what’s at stake in the game and that’s probably why it’s over-spilled at the end.”
Annan took the lead after 62 minutes with a fine Josh Todd goal and sub Smart Osadolor fired a second 10 minutes later.
Sub Kyle MacLeod nodded home a 77th minute header to pull one back for Elgin.
With three minutes left, Easton then won a penalty from Ben Jago’s challenge and Brian Cameron slotted home from the spot.
Then, in stoppage time, Elgin’s Marc McKenzie was shown a straight red card for an altercation involving the far-side linesman.
Chapman was also sent to the stand for his penalty complaints and he was even more furious about a late tackle on Osadolor.

Long-serving midfielder Mark Nicholson, booked for the controversial challenge, was accused of deliberately trying to injure his forward. The Annan manager added: “When a player threatens to ‘do’ somebody, and then does it, it creates a riot. And that’s what he did.”
The draw left Annan in fourth – a point behind their hosts – and a point ahead of Queen’s Park who drew at home to Stirling. East Fife top the table and are seven points clear of the Galabankies with just four games remaining.
