Celtic striker Nadir Ciftci has been ordered to shape up quickly after his loan move in Poland turned sour.

The 25-year-old Turk was shipped out on loan in January to Pogon Szczecin in the Polish League.

But he's yet to score a goal or grab an assist in six matches and Pogon have not managed to win a game where the former Dundee United hitman has featured.

Ciftci has attracted criticism in the local media for looking unfit and his manager, Kazimierz Moskal, is urging Ciftci to improve.

He said: "Nadir's problems here are because he hasn't played football properly for a long time and is lacking match fitness.

"But with each passing week here and the more he plays, it should work in his favour.

"It would have been helpful if he arrives here fully fit and ready to play, but we knew it would take time with him.

"Expectations were high when he arrived, perhaps too high.
