Scotland's main commuter routes have been sent into chaos ahead of Wednesday's morning rush hour.

The Forth Road Bridge is closed in both directions until after the peak after an HGV was blown from the

northbound carriageway to the southbound side overnight.

The incident happened around 2am, leaving the crossing closed to traffic since the early hours.

The bridge operators said it was closed to high-sided vehicles at the time.

It's believed a man has been charged over the incident.

No one was hurt.
