This haunting video shows an abandoned World War II bomb store.
The desolate site at Glyn Rhonwy quarry, Llanberis, was home to an RAF ammunitions store that was cleared in the 1970s.
During WW2, the slate quarry was used as a secret munitions store, and later it was used to dispose of old and surplus bombs, bullets and grenades.
Thousands of tonnes of weapons ended up in quarry pits there, prompting a massive RAF clean-up operation that only ended in the mid-1970s.
Urban explorer and paranormal investigator Karl Hassall, of Dark Arts Paranormal, visited the site last month and has filmed footage of the inside.
The 26-year-old said the purpose of the visit was to explore the site and check it for potential “residual energy”.
“We went inside the ammunitions store, which was cold and pitch black with echoing sounds, “ said Karl.
“It’s really freaky inside and almost unreal as it’s so vast.”

The video shows the tunnels inside and the railway loading platform for all the ammunitions.
Karl, from Manchester, said: “Inside the ammunition store, you can see the train line and where the remains are of the wooden bumper.
“They had the train stop here with all the ammunitions, you can see it.
“The site is just absolutely vast and I couldn’t begin to imagine the amount of bombs they must have been carried in here. “
The site consisted of a number of deep open pits, linked together by tunnels.
It had an underground depot and was adapted to produce a store with two floors throughout, with electric lifts transporting bombs to the upper floor.
Sadly, under the weight of the overlaying backfill, two-thirds of the structure collapsed in January 1942, burying 14,000 tons of bombs.

The majority of the bombs were recovered and although the remaining tunnels were eventually cleared of debris, no ammunition was ever stored underground at Llanberis again.
Karl now plans to revisit the site to conduct a paranormal investigation.
He added: “I think it is worth an investigation here. Just for the sheer fact of how many people were here working. This is obviously a massive part of someone’s life.
“So you never know, the residual energy that is within these walls could still be thriving today, and you never know, there may be some interesting things to find.”
