They've still got it! Rock legends Guns N' Roses send 40,000 fans into a frenzy as they kick of big Australia tour

They're one of the most popular and biggest selling rock bands of all time.

And although it's more than three decades since they formed, Guns N' Roses didn't disappoint the 40,000 eager fans who saw them in Brisbane on Tuesday night.

Led by singer Axl Rose and lead guitarist Slash, both 55, the band had the crowd in a frenzy as they played a bunch of their biggest hits in typically high-tempo fashion.

Still got it! Despite it being more than three decades since they formed, 40,000 eager fans turned out to see Guns N' Roses in Brisbane on Tuesday night

The 'Sweet Child o' Mine' hitmakers - who have just Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, 53, remaining from their early days - appeared as pumped up as ever for the gig.

Having sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, the legendary rockers showed their diehard fans why they've been so successful.

Leading from the front, Rose revved up the crowd by belting out the lyrics in his very energetic fashion.

Leading from the front: Singer Axl Rose, 55, still looks every bit the legendary rock icon

The heavily-tattooed vocalist looked every bit the veteran rocker, wearing ripped jeans and a t-shirt, while studded wrist bands and jewellery added to his look.

The intense effort Rose put into the gig was clear for all to see, as he moved around the stage screaming out the band's songs.

Alongside him, Slash looked as smooth as ever as he strummed away on his guitar.

The legendary musician thrilled the crowd with both his playing and outfit, wearing a black top hat that has become his trademark.

He also seemingly made a political stance, with the words 'unf*** the world' written across his t-shirt.

Tuesday night's concert, which kicked off their Not In This Lifetime tour of Australia, was the first time Guns N' Roses have played in Brisbane.

And judging by their incredible performance, it wouldn't be a surprise if it's not their last trip Down Under.
