Eyewitnesses have told Sportsmail that Cabaye, 30, had an expletive-laden argument with a fan in the Holmesdale End after full-time.

As Selhurst Park emptied, Cabaye was clapping fans when he could hear the same man making more jibes towards him.

'The bloke has run to the end of the row, screaming at Cabaye, w***** signs, very obvious,' an insider added.

'His mates are holding him back and trying to stop him from screaming.'
