From burritos - to stilettos! Chipotle staffer who was scouted while washing dishes hits the runway at NYFW for the likes of Marc Jacobs and Calvin Klein - just DAYS after working her last shift

One of the most in-demand models at New York Fashion Week was working at Chipotle just days before hitting the runway.

Remington Williams, of Austin, Texas, walked for some of the most prestigious designers, including Calvin Klein and Marc Jacobs, throughout Fashion Week, which wrapped up on Wednesday.

The tall redhead, who is making a stunning debut in the industry, was scouted while washing dishes—and spent the days before show season cooking Mexican food at one of the chain's locations in her hometown.

After a scout told her about her potential as a model, Remington took a tip to New York City, where she signed with DNA Models, Vogue reported.

The agency also represents iconic supermodels Linda Evangelista and Natalia Vodianova.

Remington's first show season saw her walking for Calvin Klein last week, after being coached personalty by the label's chief creative officer, Raf Simons. 

'During my callback, Raf Simons personally taught me how to walk,' Remington told the magazine. 'He could have picked any model, but he believed in me so much that he took the time to help me so that I could do his show.'

This Fashion Week, Remington also walked the runway for Sies Marjan last week, as well as Marc Jacobs on Wednesday.

'I was visiting the Met Museum, and then suddenly received a notification I had to fit for the Marc show in one hour at their offices in Soho,' she said, recounting the moment she found out about her participating in the show.

'When I arrived, he was there to greet me. I was so giddy and excited because I felt like I was a part of the creative process from the very beginning.'

Remington, a portrait artist and graphic design student, wants to keep modeling in addition to her studies.

She is now gearing up for the European shows and perfecting her stiletto walk in preparation.

'[I've been wearing] the heels to the grocery store and bodega near my apartment,' she said. 'Models do not get enough credit for walking in those crazy shoes—they make it look so easy!'

London Fashion Week is scheduled to begin tomorrow, followed by Milan, then Paris.
