Thrillseekers on a £3 million Drayton Manor rollercoaster were stranded upside down high in the air when it appeared to break down.
Video posted online showed riders on the G-Force attraction suspended at the top of a loop just before 3.30pm on Saturday.
No-one was hurt.
Drayton Manor said in a short statement: “At 15.22 today G-Force experienced a temporary stoppage.
“As a result all guests were safely removed from the ride.
“At no point was guest safety compromised.”
Writing on Facebook, witness Kirsty Lorraine Gethings said: “(I) was there when it happened, they weren’t there for long.
“Staff managed to move the carriage quite swiftly and it was still definitely running after the event as well.”
