Stacey Solomon announces son Zachary, 11, is starting secondary school after two years of home schooling
STACEY Solomon has revealed she is going to stop homeschooling her eldest son and send him to secondary school this September.
The Loose Women star homeschooled Zachary, 11, for two years alongside his seven-year-old brother Leighton.
But taking to Instagram on Sunday to celebrate her two kids coming back from holiday with their respective dads, she revealed the big news.
Stacey, 29, shared a photo of the two boys alongside her youngest Rex and partner Joe Swash, saying: "The boys are back in town. I've loved having some one on one time with Rex over the last 2 weeks but I can't tell you how happy my heart is that all of my boys are back home and on the sofa giving me the best cuddles I could wish for!
"Summer is nearly over. This one is an emotional one for me because after 2 years of homeschooling Zachary is off to secondary School and I just can't believe how quickly it's come around.
"I'm going to make the most of the last few days of the holidays before my baby becomes a big boy! (He will always be my baby). P.S. Rex's face cracks me up!"
She then appealed to her fans for some help with the big change: "P.P.S is anyone else's babies off to secondary school? Or recently started? What's your best advise, hacks, tips?"
Stacey has taught the two kids with the help of a tutor for nearly two years.
The singer revealed in 2018 that she was homeschooling her children after she noticed changes in Zachary's behaviour.
When her bright and bubbly son was coming home disheartened, she wondered whether school was the right thing for him.
She wrote in her Fabulous column last year: "Before that, he was often cheeky and making jokes, he never worried what people thought of him. He was a happy-go-lucky child, always inquisitive and wanting to know EVERYTHING about everything."
Then he entered Year Two and things started to change: "He would come home from school embarrassed to make jokes and be silly and he became very quiet and a little sad.
"We spoke about this a lot and he explained to me that his behaviour was deemed naughty and disruptive by teachers and not cool by his peers."
However, not everyone supported her decision and she clashed with fellow Loose Woman panellist Janet Street Porter in April after the 79-year-old claimed homeschooled children live in a "pampered and enclosed world".
Stacey hit back saying her children still received experience of the outside world and she didn't lock them in the house.

She told the panel: "I am really passionate about the common misconception that children don't socialise or experience real life events outside of a playground.
"The reality for me is that actually, my children don't have one nuclear set of friends.
They go to lots of different clubs and are in lots of different social circumstances where they develop their socialising skills in a really positive, brilliant way."
