PRANKSTER Discoboy managed to blag his way into the National Television Awards by wearing a suit and pretending he was live on air.
The YouTube star, real name Lee Marshall, strolled into the star-studded bash without being questioned and grinned as he waltzed past Piers Morgan and Seal’s dressing rooms.
In a video released on his official YouTube channel, Lee boasted about getting into the event after managing to stroll past “security guards with low IQs”.
He told the camera: “It’s Discoboy here, it’s the NTAs. We’re going to see if me dressed with a suit can blag our way into the main arena…You ready?”
Lee then walked around the huge arena and into a door which had an un-manned security desk.
Grinning, he walked into the press room where the winners of the show, including Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, spoke to the press after picking up their gongs.
Security guards and various organisers of the show can be seen milling around in the background, with some even getting out of the way of Lee’s camera as he continued to pretend he was live on air.
He then continued his “backstage tour” and even had an unwitting member of the security team holding a door open for him as he walked down a corridor.
Standing outside of Good Morning Britain star Piers’ dressing room, Lee joked: “Let’s hope he’s not in – Piers doesn’t like us much.”
He then stood outside of Seal’s dressing room and hummed the tune to his hit track Kiss From A Rose.
Turning to a woman watching him, he then even tried to get her to sing along but she looked mortified and rushed off.
After four minutes of footage online, Lee still hadn’t been stopped or questioned by the numerous security guards positioned inside the venue.
The prankster was clearly enjoying himself as he continued to film his fake show.
Walking out into the main arena, Lee even managed to get some of the show’s VIP guests to cheer for the camera.
The cast of our biggest soaps, including Coronation Street, EastEnders and Emmerdale were all present on the night and were just feet away from Lee when he walked through.
Lee then revealed one of his fans was in the crowd and she congratulated him on managing to blag his way in so easily.
After recording some of the show, including Rak Su’s performance, Lee walked off again but this time he was stopped by two security guards.
He tried to blag his way out of it, telling one of them that his contact was called Tom Mazzone – who’s actually a professional cyclist from the Isle of Man – and that he was working for Facebook.
Although he’d managed to evade getting caught for a large part of the evening, Lee was finally held to account.
He was then escorted from the premises when security realised he should not have been there.
Lee’s edited footage revealed he was able to walk around without being stopped for seven minutes.
The Sun Online has contacted the organisers of the event for comment.
