Skint Arsenal told to fork out £13.5m transfer fee by PSG for Christopher Nkunku as RB Leipzig also circle

ARSENAL have reportedly been urged to fork out the £13.5million transfer fee for Christopher Nkunku by Paris Saint-Germain.

The French midfielder has emerged as a top target for the cash-strapped Gunners, but RB Leipzig have also indicated their interest.

According to L'Equipe, Arsenal will be able to secure the 21-year-old's services for just £13.5m this summer despite reports previously claiming he would cost £30m.

But Les Parisiens are yet to receive a single bid for the France Under-21 star.

Unai Emery's side failed to sign Nkunku in January after not being able to strike a deal with the Ligue 1 giants.

His current deal at the Parc des Princes does not expire until June 2020, but he wants regular first-team football.

He scored three goals and made two assists in 26 games for the Ligue 1 giants last season.

Nkunku's agent Jose-Karl Pierre-Fanfan recently confirmed that a summer exit was an option for the youngster.

He said: "The playing time is insufficient. Christopher is open to a departure."

Nkunku would fit the bill as Emery is desperate to reinforce his midfield after Denis Suarez was shipped back to Barcelona and Aaron Ramsey joined Juventus.

The Spaniard is only expected to have £45m to spend following the club's failure to secure Champions League football.
