But this morning Zaha, 24, uploaded a snap to Instagram showing his leg strapped up.

He captioned the photo: "God shall protect me."

Injury to the Ivory Coast star would be a hammer blow to Palace boss Frank De Boer.

Zaha was the club's second top scorer Premier League scorer only to Christian Benteke last season with seven goals.

In May he signed a new five-year Palace deal to dash Tottenham's hopes of landing him.

Zaha said: "I spoke with Steve [Parish] and I think I still have more to give this club.

"The supporters have been amazing and I want us to do more than just stay in the league next year.

"I would like to thank the chairman for being a big part of my journey and his fellow owners for backing me and rewarding my progression. Let’s do this!”
