Hunky Maxted, 25, has been wrestling for a number of years on the independent UK scene and once fought Drew McIntyre who recently re-signed with WWE.
And now he is trying to follow in his one-time opponent's footsteps being taken on by the American giants at a time when they are tapping into the the red-hot British scene.

Despite his good looks and physique, he had a rather disastrous stint on the ITV2 dating show where he was known for long-winded metaphors - his romance with Katie Salmon ending days after returning form the show.
But he finally found love late last year with a new lady, stunning brunette Carly Taylor, a dance and fitness instructor from Newcastle.

Maxted was blasted online by the likes of Geordie Shore's Gaz Beadle, captioning the now-deleted pic: "Sometimes I like going into McDonalds to sit and have my protein shake...
"Just to make everyone there feel better about their diet."
Maxted was put through his paces alongside other top stars of the British independent scene such as Flash Morgan Webster, Stevie Boy and BT Gunn.
The WWE hold try-outs during their twice-yearly tours of the British Isles in their hope of recruiting future superstars.
WWE greats-turned-trainers William Regal and Matt “Prince Albert” Bloom lead the session.
"Flex" had previously said of his aspirations of being a WWE star: “I took some time to think about it because I knew it could be a risk going on reality TV especially with my goals of making it to the WWE.
"But I said to myself that if I went on the show and was myself and came across the right way on TV and spoke about my wrestling that it could open doors for me - so I went on to the show using it as a platform for exposure.
"In 2017 I want to change people's opinion of me and I'll no longer be known as "The Love Island Guy" but taken seriously as a professional wrestler."
