Deontay Wilder lists five alternative opponents to ‘cheater’ Tyson Fury as he vows to return to ring at start of 2021

DEONTAY WILDER insists he will be back in the ring at the start of 2021 - with or without Tyson Fury.

The Bronze Bomber is adamant the Gypsy King and his own trainer Mark Breland conspired against him in the February bout he was bulldozed in.

The long-awaited trilogy fight failed to materialise, with both parties aiming the blame across the ring and Fury tried to move on with a December 5 UK tune-up that has since been axed.

A US mediator is currently examining the contract to decide whether Fury owes the 35-year-old American a third fight - or a pay off - and Wilder claims he is ready to move on after again accusing the Brit of a range of misdemeanours.

The claims which include Fury tampering with his gloves have been denied by the world champion and his promoter Frank Warren.

Wilder told Brian Custer’s Last Stand Podcast: “You can see me back in the ring sometime in the first week of January, the latest early February and we’re looking through opponents now.  

“We’re not going to sit around and wait on a coward that has an obligation to fulfill but ran away from it.  

“We’re not going to sit around, we’ve got to get back in the ring. I’ve got a lot of fans looking forward to me stepping back into the ring and doing what I do best.

“I’ve been ready since September.  You’re not a man of your word, you’re not fulfilling your obligation.  

“I helped you out, I put millions in your pocket, I made you relevant, now it’s time for you to do the same thing, that’s all we’re saying.  

“They sat around, it was their obligation to put the fight on.  They waited all the way till October came, then talking about we abandoned the contract. That’s a lie!”

Wilder has been hammered for blaming his comic-inspired ringwalk costume of draining him of energy and has tried to backtrack.

But he is sticking to his guns over the bizarre belief that Fury tampered with his gloves and Breland spiked his drink, after ignoring the order to never throw in the towel.

He said: “I’m not excusing the costume, the costume had a little weight on it, but it wasn’t enough to make me feel the way I felt in the ring, it wasn’t enough to not have my legs.

“I’ve been preaching for five years, don’t ever throw in the towel with Deontay Wilder, Deontay Wilder is never out until it’s over with, because of my heart and will and the power I possess.  

“I do feel like he (Breland) was a part of it and it’s not for me to explain to anyone. I let out my emotions, I said it, people can believe what they want.

“Fury’s a known cheater and you can go back to the rap sheet and history of him cheating even with the Klitschko fight.  

“I haven’t yet heard valid proof of how gloves flap all the way back, why your hands were in the bottom of the glove.

"Why did my ear have scratches deep inside my ear because of your nails?  We have so much proof but it just shows you got to cheat me to beat me.”

One Brit who could benefit from the fallout is Dillian Whyte, who is suddenly at the top of Wilder’s Christmas list.

The Brixton Body snatcher chased a fight for Wilder’s old WBC crown for years and was always rejected. But suddenly he’s flavour of the week.

When asked about his next opponent, Wilder said: “Realistically, Dillian Whyte would be on the list, Andy Ruiz would be one on the list, Robert Helenius, Joseph Parker.

“Oleksandr Usyk, I would love to fight him because he called me out.

"There’s a lot of guys on the list. When that phone rings just accept the opportunity.”
