Two days later, her body was discovered partially buried underneath rubble in a basement on Great Portland Street in central London.

The 23-year-old had been raped and then strangled to death - her Christian Dior earrings, snakeskin shoes, jeans and her Guess watch missing.

The only suspect in the harrowing case, Farouk Abdulhak, fled to Yemen and has refused to return to the UK for questioning.

Chilling CCTV released to mark the ten year anniversary of Martine's death shows her walking with Abdulhak, son of billionaire Shaher Abdulhak, after leaving Maddox nightclub.

The footage shows relaxed Martine looking happy and relaxed after finishing her exams as she celebrates with Abdulhak in Mayfair.

Scotland Yard are now again urging the suspect to return to the UK so they can quiz him.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Partridge, of the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: “A decade on and our ambition remains the same - to obtain justice for Martine.

"With this CCTV now in the public domain, our hope is that the case will not fade from public attention, keeping the spotlight firmly focused upon Farouk Abdulhak.

“Abdulhak fled to another country in the pursuit of continuing with his life and today he remains sheltered and protected in the Yemen. For ten years this person has been avoiding our requests to return to the UK and assist the investigation.

“We have reached an important milestone, therefore this is the right time to once again appeal personally to Abdulhak to return to the UK.

"He was a guest in our country when the murder of Martine occurred and I believe the responsible thing to do is return. If he thought that this case would diminish, or that his wanted status would change over time, then this year’s anniversary demonstrates our resolve and that of the Magnussen family to continue to seek justice for Martine.”

In 2016, Martine's dad Petter Magnussen released a heartbreaking tribute to his daughter as he revealed an "enormous hole" in his life.

He added: "What makes the pain so much more difficult to accept is that we are being denied justice as Farouk Abdulhak fled to Yemen after the murder and refuses to return to the UK.

"What we can do and will do is continue to keep the spotlight on this case and cherish the memory of our beloved daughter."
