BELT LOOPY

Amazon customer stunned after firm sends massive cardboard box to deliver a belt

The woman's cousin tweeted Amazon to ask what had happened, and included snaps to demonstrate the ridiculous scale

AN Amazon customer was stunned to find a giant box, almost as tall as her, in which the small belt she had ordered nestled among six large rolls of protective paper.

Pictures posted online detailed her shock after she was delivered the enormous package, containing one tiny item.

The woman's cousin tweeted Amazon to ask what had happened, and included snaps to demonstrate the ridiculous scale.

They wrote: "Could someone from @amazon explain the need for so much packaging to ship A BELT to my cousin?!

"How many trees suffered for this?!"

The belt can be seen in the pictures covered in multiple sheets of protective plastic.

"Please, submit direct packaging feedback here."

It's not the first time customers have been baffled by the amount of packaging included with a delivery from the online giant.

Deanna Walker, from Parkstone, Dorset, ordered a dog car-guard online.

She was baffled when she received a 3ft box filled with 30ft of brown paper - and slammed the "wasteful" use of packaging.

She told the Mail Online: "I got a message from my mum and dad saying a huge box had arrived and asked me what it was, I had no idea.

Another customer, Michelle Hepton, posted a picture on Facebook of a huge box she had been sent after ordering a single bottle of nail polish.
