The driver, who hasn't been named, also told Michelle to enjoy her food, adding: "If you have a bf tell me I don't want to make any problems".

He even claimed he was just trying to "make friends" before telling the mum: "Good night bby see you next time I get your meal" followed by an emoji showing a pair of lips.

Michelle, of Gloucester, responded: "I'm literally never ordering from there again."

The stunned customer immediately flagged the creepy texts on the JustEat live chat but was apparently offered a £5 "goodwill voucher".

The messages show this was doubled to £10 after Michelle fumed about the "absolutely outrageous and disgusting behaviour".

The worker, named Trixie, even told Michelle the company "don't have a complaints department".

Speaking to The Sun from a tattoo parlour where she works in Cheltenham, Michelle yesterday said: ""I received a WhatsApp message saying 'Hy' from a number I didn’t recognise. I asked who it was and the person revealed they had just delivered my food.

“At first I was shocked at the fact someone could approach me in that way, but that turned to feeling very uncomfortable as I realised this guy had my name, address, and phone number.
“I usually order with my boyfriend, and to be honest, he answers the door most of the time and this has certainly never happened to him.

“I found out that two other acquaintances had received similar messages from the same driver.

"I thought about how I would have felt if I had ordered just for myself and had been home alone. If I lived on my own this would have been even more traumatic.

“I didn’t feel comfortable going directly to the restaurant as I was worried about any repercussions.

“I was extremely disappointed with the initial response made by Just Eat and wonder how many other females have reached out to them.

“I want better privacy, protection and safeguarding put in place.

“I don’t want my favourite takeaway to close down.”

Horrified Michelle posted screengrabs of the messages on Twitter and her post has now gone viral with more than 6,000 likes and 3,000 retweets.

She said: "Just a snippet of Just Eat’s response to my receiving unsolicited messages from the guy who had just delivered my food. Nice one Just Eat!

"Apart from him using my number in this way surely being in breach of privacy laws etc, they don’t really seem to take it seriously do they??"

Michelle received a raft of support from well-wishers sharing their own stories of workers at different companies "stalking" them on their personal numbers.

One said: "I stopped ordering delivery after a similar experience (delivery guy turned up w chocolates - totally unencouraged). Saved me money (good), left me feeling creeped out & unsafe (obvs not good)".

While another wrote: "Too many creeps out there,my daughter had the same thing happen but he was a taxi driver, he had her number from her booking and sent inappropriate texts when she got home."

Michelle thanked people for coming forward, tweeting: "That escalated quickly. I am astounded by the amount of females who have contacted me saying a similar thing happened to them.

"This is no longer about my personal experience, this is about privacy law and safeguarding females.

"This is clearly a huge problem and it needs to stop."

A JustEat spokesperson confirmed they are investigating and said they were "appalled" by the way Michelle was treated when she first complained.

The company confirmed they were looking at their procedures as the response "lacked empathy".

They added: "The safety and wellbeing of our customers is extremely important to us and we were deeply concerned to hear about this incident.

"Whilst the restaurants on our platform are independent from the Just Eat business, we hold ourselves to high standards and in line with these, we would expect all drivers associated with our restaurant partners to act responsibly and respectfully at all times.

"This driver has acted in a way that does not represent Just Eat and our core values. We are investigating this with our restaurant partner and are also speaking to this customer offline and if the customer decides this is a criminal matter and reports it to the police, we will of course assist the police with any investigation.

"Along with our restaurant partners we take the safeguarding of customer data extremely seriously. We share information with our restaurant partners solely for the purpose of facilitating delivery and are continually reviewing our practices to ensure our policies and practices are robust.”
