THE talented homeless busker whose heartbreaking plight touched the nation has been revealed as a Romanian builder who only arrived in the UK nine weeks ago.

Ilie Haraga, 34, was spotted by Piers Morgan busking on High Street Kensington yesterday - but was amazed when Christmas shoppers stopped him today to tell him they'd seen Pier's video of him on Good Morning Britain.

Piers was desperately hunting down the busker so he could give him his big break and invite him on the ITV show.

Former Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers said on the show: “I want to give that guy his break, if he wants to do it – if you want to do it, whoever you are, I think you’re very talented. And I think you should come on Good Morning Britain to do your thing.”

He also showed a video of the mystery saxophonist playing Jingle All The Way last night.

A shocked Ilie told the Mail Online today: "I was amazed when people were walking past saying that they saw me on TV earlier.

"I came here to become a professional musician. I can't believe my luck that I've been spotted so soon.

"I'd love to go on TV and play for Piers in person – to say thanks for putting me on TV so that one day my dream might just come true."

The dad-of-one came over to the UK with his wife Marilena, 30, but the couple tragically had to leave their eight-year-old son Edy at their former home in Romania.

Marilena is also musical, and works as a wedding singer.

But the pair are struggling to get by, with Ilie only earning around £60 for a nine hour day busking on the streets - barely enough to pay the £600 monthly rent on their tiny bedsit in Edgware.

With the prospect of Piers making him a star looming, Ilie said: "Our home here is very small.

"I'd like to earn more so I can get a bigger place and my son can join us.

"Maybe after being discovered by Piers I'm one step closer. Thanks again Piers!"
