Sky Sports fall for hilarious prank about ‘new Aberdeen signing’ Yerdas Selzavon

The sports broadcasters included the bogus transfer news in their daily blog, only to find out they had been duped by running Scottish joke

SKY SPORTS were left red-faced last night when they fell for a hilarious prank about a new Aberdeen signing.

A joker tweeted that the club had landed Turkish midfielder Yerdas Selzavon on a three-year deal from a rogue account which resembled the Dons' official handle.

The sports broadcasters included the bogus transfer news in their daily blog, only to find out they had been duped by the running Scottish joke 'Yer da sells Avon'.

And Twitter went into meltdown after the gaffe with someone even creating an account for the fake Dons ace.

Most users couldn't believe Sky had fallen for the obvious prank:

 

 

But one had another transfer exclusive for Sky...

And someone even tracked down who Yerda actually is!

Turns out it's Hakan Balta who plays for Galatasaray.
