Wife of Rangers star Graham Dorrans feared he wouldn’t wake up from Ibiza thug attack
Stunned revellers watched as Dorrans, 32, lay unconscious after smashing his skull on the kerb outside the Highlander boozer
THE wife of Rangers star Graham Dorrans feared he wouldn’t wake up after a thug left him unconscious in a pool of blood in Ibiza.
Insiders said the ace was floored as he tried to defuse a row between the yob and his missus Yvonne, 31, and teammate Ryan Jack’s missus Ashleigh, 27.
Stunned revellers watched as he lay unconscious after smashing his skull on the kerb when the lout shoved him outside the Highlander boozer in San Antonio.
Horrified Yvonne feared he wouldn’t come round but paramedics managed to get him conscious then raced him to a health centre for staples to a head wound.
An insider revealed: “Graham was acting as a peacemaker after the guy — who was with a big group of lads from Dundee — had argued with Yvonne and Ashleigh.
“But without warning the guy aggressively shoved him. Graham couldn’t get his hands out quickly enough to break his fall and he cracked his head on the ground.

“There was blood everywhere and he was knocked out cold.
“There was total panic and for a minute his poor wife thought he wasn’t going to wake up.
“His head hit the kerb with a crack and they were struggling to revive him. Thankfully he started to come round and he was conscious when he was taken away in an ambulance.”
A video online showed Dorrans being tended to as he lay outside the rowdy boozer where footie fans had earlier watched Dundee United draw 0-0 with St Mirren in the Premiership play-off.
The midfielder declined to comment on Thursday’s late-night after he and Yvonne jetted back to Glasgow around 3pm yesterday.
He walked through the airport with his hood up.
Ashleigh had earlier posted a snap of the couples relaxing on holiday with a bottle of gin and other drinks beside them.
She wrote “Jack/Dorrans take Ibiza” with an emoji love heart.
Another video clip, thought to have been filmed earlier on Thursday, showed Dorrans appearing to help an unsteady Jack clamber out of a pool at the nearby Ocean Beach resort.
Dorrans — wearing a dark blue shirt and striped shorts in the colours of former club West Brom — can be seen helping ex-Aberdeen ace Jack stay upright with Ashleigh almost losing her balance as she too lends a hand.
Our source added: “They’d normally go to Dubai at the end of the season but decided to go to Ibiza instead. Now they’ll probably be wishing they hadn’t.”
And they rubbished claims the football ace was hit with a bottle.
They said: “There’s been lots of stuff going about on social media but Graham’s not much of a drinker and he wasn’t bottled.”
We told how Yvonne quit Twitter in May last year over abuse aimed at her hubby following a 5-0 thumping by Old Firm rivals Celtic.
The nurse, wed to the midfielder since 2011, wrote: “I know Graham loves the team more than ever (probably even more than he loves me). Kick on to next season and make it a good one.
“But for my own sanity and the kids, me and social media need a bit of time out.”
Spanish police are not thought to be probing the attack.
It comes weeks after Gers No2 Gary McAllister, 54, lost three teeth in a bust-up in Leeds.
