ENFIELD chairman Paul Reed believes Bolton’s new striker arrival Mo Faal can be a “huge success” in professional football.

Faal, aged 22, had scored 27 goals in 30 games for the Isthmian Premier League club since moving from Kingstonian in July, attracting scouts from several Premier League and EFL clubs.

Wanderers invited him for a trial in September which saw him turn out against Hull City in the development squad and impress the Bolton coaching staff.

The 6ft 5in front man negotiated an 18-month deal – and though there is no fee up front, as per the terms of the embargo, it is thought there are sell-on bonuses which could be earned by the London club if he turns out to be a success at the UniBol.

Reed said: “On behalf of the club I’d like to thank Mo for his efforts over the past year; he’s been brilliant for us and I’m sure he’ll prove to be a huge success at Bolton. We’ve had a very honest dialogue in recent months, and I’m thrilled that he has achieved his ambition of becoming a full-time professional footballer.”

Enfield’s first team manager Andy Leese added: “I’d like to wish Mo well; he’s earned his chance and I am sure he will take it.”
