He was last seen alone on February 23 leaving Happy's Irish Pub on Third Street around 11.30pm, according to PEOPLE.

"He never made it back to his hotel," his wife, Amber, told ABC affiliate station WSB-TV, via PEOPLE. "I'm praying for a miracle, that he makes it home safely to us."

Tragically, Millard was then found dead by a bypasser on March 6 wrapped in a rug and plastic.

“It’s just something I don’t think I can ever forget,” the bypasser told Unfiltered with Kiran, who confirmed his identity with EquuSearch, a nonprofit group that led the search for Millard, 42, with Baton Rouge police.

Autopsy results showed “no internal or external trauma” to the body and it is believed that he died of an accidental overdose, according to WAFB.

“There doesn’t appear to be any foul play at this point," Captain Heinz said in a statement.

"I know that he was placed there obviously by another individual, we would like to know who and why. But just from the autopsy results that were given by the Coroner’s Office, at this time it doesn’t appear to be any signs of foul play."

On March 28, 2023, the East Baton Rouge Coroner's Office released Millard's toxicology results. The results stated there was fentanyl, cocaine, and ethanol in his system.

Coroner Dr William Clark ruled his cause of death as accidental and was due to the combination of fentanyl, ethanol, and cocaine, according to WGMB FOX 44.
