Wil Partington has joined London Irish Senior Academy.
The back-three player was one of the attacking stars for University of Bath in BUCS Super Rugby last season.
However, Somerset Live understands he was not offered a contract extension to stay with the Blue, Black and White senior academy.
Bath are well-stocked at full-back with the likes of Anthony Watson, Tom Homer, Ruaridh McConnochie and Darren Atkins already in the senior ranks, England U20 full-back Tom de Glanville graduating to the first-team squad this Summer and England U18 full-back George Worboys being promoted to the senior academy from Bath Rugby U18s.
Partington is very excited to be joining the club which was promoted after winning the GreenKing IPA Championship in May.
Last season, Partington was named in the BUCS Super Rugby team of the season and was selected for England Students.
The former Beechen Cliff pupil's last game in blue, black and white came for Bath Utd at the Rec in the final Premiership Rugby Shield fixture of last season, against Gloucester Utd in April.
Partington's move is the latest in a long line of deals between Bath and Irish, however the flow of players and coaches usually goes the other way.
Anthony Watson, Matt Garvey, Max Lahiff, Jonathan Joseph, Tom Homer plus coaches Toby Booth and Neal Hatley have all made that switch in the past, amongst others.
