Projections on the Buffalo Bills are all over the board heading into the 2019 season.

Buffalo’s over/under odds for the season have been set at just 6.5 wins. One look at Buffalo’s schedule post-draft, as well as the talent the team has added, and it’s not hard to see a scenario where the team wins 9-10 games.

Radio host Colin Cowherd used the phrase “still miles away” to recently describe Buffalo’s chances of competing in 2019, but quarterback Josh Allen believes the team is close following a productive offseason.

Allen, entering his second season after being selected No. 7 overall by the Bills, recently spoke with Davis Potter of the Casper Star-Tribune about Buffalo’s offseason. After adding several talented players in free agency and the draft, Allen believes the Bills are very close to being a contender in the NFL.

“I think we’re very close,” Allen told Potter. “We have a great core of players from last year, and then our front office went out and did a great job in the offseason adding some guys at certain positions.”

The quarterback also gave his seal of approval in regards to the team’s 2019 draft while noting that he’s already talked with the majority of the draft picks.

“I liked it,” Allen said of the Bills’ 2019 draft. “I’ve talked to (the draftees) a little bit. They’re hungry to come here, start competing and push each other to win football games here.”
