Leicester's wantaway star Harry Maguire could miss out on his dream summer move as he isn't interested in joining Manchester United .
United and their neighbours Manchester City are battling it out so sign the Foxes defender and it was believed that the latter had agreed a world-record £80million move.
However according to The Sun , City's discussions have hit a stumbling block while United are willing to fork out the whopping fee, which is expected to top the £75m Liverpool paid for Virgil van Dijk.
But Maguire, who signed a new five-year deal with Leicester last September when United failed to prise from him Leicester, isn't interested in a move to Old Trafford.
That has left Maguire in limbo as the former Sheffield United and Hull City star had his heart set on a move to the Etihad.
It is another blow for United after they seemingly missed out on a move for Ajax's Matthijs de Ligt, who looks set to seal a switch to Juventus .
However they are on the brink of bolstering their defensive ranks with a deal for Crystal Palace's highly-rated right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The England U21s star is expected to undergo a medical at the club's Carrington training base this week before completing a £55million switch.
But they may have to accept defeat in their pursuit of Maguire, with Mirror Football recently revealing he has told friends that the offer from the Treble winners is too good to turn down.
City are prepared to pay the England centre-half a whopping £280,000-a-week to quit Leicester and move to the Etihad.
Guardiola sees Maguire as the ideal successor to skipper Vincent Kompany, who quit City at the end of the season to return home to Belgium to take over as player-manager at Anderlecht.
Maguire is ambitious and feels City will give him the chance to win trophies and fulfil his ambition of playing in the Champions League.
