Tottenham star Harry Kane meets 101-year-old Spurs fan after netting brace against Bournemouth

Kane enjoyed a short chat with long-serving fan Irene, who has been watching the north Londoners at White Hart Lane since the 1930s

Harry Kane shared a smile with Tottenham's oldest season ticket holder following Sunday's win over Bournemouth.

The England striker, who netted twice in the 3-0 win, would have expected to have been the star of the show as he produced yet another man of the match performance.

But it was 101-year-old Irene who arguably received the greatest reception at White Hart Lane.

She was paraded around the ground at half-time alongside double-winner Pat Jennings, as Spurs paid tribute to her dedication to the club.

Irene has been attending the Lane since the 1930s.

And following the match, she was able to meet one of the club's current heroes, as she shared a joke with Kane.

The 22-year-old is fast-becoming an Spurs legend in his own right after scoring his 20th and 21st goals of the season against Bournemouth.

He is on course to become the first Englishman to win the Premier League golden boot since Kevin Phillips in 2000.
