John Prescott has finally admitted to being a "two Jags" man after buying a second Jaguar.
Despite his "two Jags" nickname, Mr Prescott has always denied having two of the luxury cars, saying he only ever owned one.
He said the second Jaguar he used while in office was a government car.
But now he has admitted that in the past year he HAS bought a second Jaguar - because his wife Pauline couldn't get into the low seats of his existing Jag.
Speaking at the Edinburgh Book Festival the former Deputy PM said: "Funnily enough, I have now become a two Jags man. I have the old one, the XJS, and I have now bought a Jaguar Sovereign one, it cost me £4,000." He also claimed that both Jags were second-hand.
Mr Prescott added: "I couldn't afford a new one. "But a second-hand one you can get out of Exchange and Mart."
