Manchester United 'in three-way battle for Real Madrid starlet Marco Asensio'

United are on the look-out for their third summer signing after agreeing deals for Fred and Diogo Dalot earlier this month.

Will this be the end of the David de Gea rumours?

Manchester United are one of three clubs ready to pounce if Marco Asensio decides to quit Real Madrid this summer, according to reports.

This ElGolDigital article claims Chelsea and PSG are also monitoring the 22-year-old's Bernabeu situation.

Asensio is reportedly keen to stay at Madrid but will consider his future if he isn't given assurances that he will be given regular game time next season.

It is claimed that Asensio is aware of Madrid's attempts to sign Neymar from PSG and believes he will lose his place in the team if the Brazilian does return to La Liga with the European champions.

Meanwhile, Joao Cancelo is reportedly closing in on a move to Juventus.

IlBiancoNero, cited by Calciomercato, claim United were interested in the 24-year-old Portugal international but that he is now days away from sealing a transfer to Juve.

United signed Diogo Dalot earlier this month so it’s likely that Jose Mourinho dropped his interest in Cancelo after that move was confirmed.
