Manchester United squad to face Chelsea revealed ahead of Carabao Cup fixture

Along with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, 18 Man Utd players travelled to London with his staff and on Tuesday afternoon.

Manchester United's travelling squad for Chelsea has been revealed, with Brandon Williams and James Garner joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the train to London on Tuesday afternoon.

Tahith Chong, Mason Greenwood and Matej Kovar all played 90 minutes in United U21s' EFL Trophy win over Doncaster on Tuesday night and it is not clear whether or not any of them travelled south to join up with the senior squad afterwards.

David de Gea did not travel, and Paul Pogba, Axel Tuanzebe, Luke Shaw, Nemanja Matic, Diogo Dalot, Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah remain sidelined through injury.

Following United's win over Norwich on Sunday, Solskjaer said Williams and Garner would be in contention to feature in the Reds' Carabao Cup last-16 meeting with Chelsea.

"I would think so," Solskjaer replied when asked about the likelihood of Williams and Garner being involved at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

"Jimmy played 10-15 minutes tonight and was excellent, calmed us down and made some good decisions when we wanted to see the game out.

"We have not made a decision on who is going to play, but you will probably see the two of them."

Sergio Romero and Lee Grant are the only goalkeepers in United's squad for the game against Chelsea, so it is possible Kovar could have journeyed to London following the U21 game.
