Real Madrid have earned close to €17 million for the loan deal which sent midfielder Dani Ceballos to Arsenal, according to a report from The Daily Mail. The London-based club will also pay Ceballos’ wages this season and don’t have an option to sign the player after the loan deal expires.

Ceballos completed his move to Arsenal this Thursday. Real Madrid want the midfielder to play relevant minutes next season and he will be able to do so under Unai Emery. Ceballos has huge potential and that’s why Los Blancos refuse to include an option for Arsenal to buy him after this loan deal, even though the gunners tried to.

“We’re excited to see Dani join our club. He is a talented player with big technical ability, creativity and accuracy,” said Arsenal coach Unai Emery.

Ceballos has the talent to be an impact player for Arsenal this season but he will need to work hard in order to get used to the Premier League’s style of play.
