Here are the evening Leeds United headlines on Thursday, April 29.

Bielsa's regret at not learning English yet

The final question in Marcelo Bielsa's pre-Brighton press conference saw the Leeds United head coach quizzed on whether he is able to undertake his training sessions in English yet.

Bielsa has been in England for almost three years and still uses a translator for his press conference. While he is able to bark instructions from the touchline to his players in English, he admits that he regrets not being able to communicate fully in English, offering a typically erudite reason why.

"One of my big deficits through my passage in English football is not to be able to communicate in the language everybody speaks," he said.

"In one way, it debilitates me, the fact I haven't been able to learn how to speak English, like what you said, and I share this completely. One of the big tools that a coach has is to transmit his message through his words. One of the things that I have dedicated the most time whilst I have been a coach, is to speak well. If there is something I like to do, or has taken me a long time is to learn the significance and the definition of words.

"To say in the most simple way, without losing richness, what I want to say. And because it is difficult for me to talk in Spanish to express my ideas simply and briefly, the decision I took not to do this in another language that wasn't mine is to say if I can't say it in Spanish, how can I be able to say it in English? The first one who doesn't believe this explanation is myself, but it's my reality. I owe an apology to those who have to listen to me that I haven't learned English."

Ronaldinho shows off new Leeds shirt

Leeds United's star of the season Raphinha has paid homage to family friend and Brazilian footballing hero Ronaldinho on his Instagram story.

The Leeds man appears to have sent the former Barcelona, PSG and AC Milan attacker a 'Raphinha 18' Leeds United shirt in order to display in his Brazil home.

Raphinha has previously revealed the special relationship his family shares with Ronaldinho, claiming that his father and the 2002 World Cup winner were close childhood friends.

Here's what he posted.

Robinson on his Leeds exit

Former Leeds United and England goalkeeper Paul Robinson has spoken to LeedsLive about his exit following the club's relegation from the Premier League in 2004.

Robinson made his Premier League debut during the 1998/99 season but did not become Leeds United No. 1 until the 2002/03 campaign, having earned his stripes as understudy to Nigel Martyn.

Given the financial turmoil Leeds United found itself in as Robinson succeeded Martyn, it wasn't long before the club identified the then 23-year-old as a potentially saleable asset.

"I think it was well-documented, I think everybody knew the plight of the club at that stage and the firesale that had been going on for the past 12-18 months," Robinson says.
