On an overcast morning, Australia were sent in to bat in their crunch World Cup 2019 match against hosts England at Lord's in London. Archer to Warner, FOUR! Cut away with a lot of power for a boundary. This one is bowled short just outside the off-stump, Warner goes on the backfoot and smashes it away in the point region towards the shortest boundary on the ground.

David Warner and Aaron Finch haven't looked comfortable at all. Jofra Archer and Chris Woakes have got the ball to move and the moving ball has got the two openers in all sorts of trouble. Tough chance! Aaron Finch skies one towards the point in the first ball of Jofra Archer's 3rd over. It was hit with some pace and James Vince at point comes up with a stunning effort to get a hand to it. However, he is not able to hold on to it. It would be just if we say Vince stopped a boundary there rather than called it a missed opportunity.

First boundary for David Warner. He had looked a bit uncertain in the middle. However, the moment Jofra Archer attempted a short ball, Warner got to his backfoot swiftly and pulled one to the boundary. Welcome boundary for David Warner. This should help settle his nerves.

Chris Woakes is getting the ball to move and captain Eoin Morgan has 3 slips for him. Warner hasn't looked comfortable at all so far. He left one that almost shaved his stumps in the first over. Interesting battle this.

Jofra Archer, who passed the fitness test early in the morning, is into the attack. He bowls a half-volley in a bid to make use of the conditions. Aaron Finch drives him cleanly to the cover boundary. Good battle between bat and ball here. England are looking for early wickets and Australia have started with some good intent, especially their captain.

There's some bounce and carry for Chris Woakes. And he is shaping the ball both ways. Aaron Finch was in trouble as one pitch on a good length and swung away from the Australian captain. A thick edge flies over Joe Root at second slip. A boundary but England will be excited.

David Warner and Aaron Finch are walking out to the middle. Meanwhile, there are some boos for David Warner. Not loud enough to intimidate anybody though. Chris Woakes is opening the bowling for England.

"We aren't really bothered about how the crowd reacts," says captain Aaron Finch when Nasser Hussain asked him how David Warner and Steve Smith are going to react if the Lord's crowd boo them.

"We are going to bowl. Not necessary a no-brainer, it's a bit soft on the top, it rained overnight and the wicket was under covers, might do a bit this morning. Hopefully, the sun will come out later and make batting easy in the afternoon," Eoin Morgan said at the toss.

On the other hand, It's a World Cup debut for Australia's premier off-spinner, Nathan Lyon. Good move, considering the number of left-handers in the England side. England have won the toss at Lord's and have opted to bowl. It's overcast in Lord's and England will be hoping to make use of the movement that is expected to be available for their seam bowlers. England are unchanged.

"It's overcast. We might see a bit of movement," says Micheal Clarke. There is a little bit of green grass on the pitch," says the World Cup-winning former Australia captain. England's frontline pacer Jofra Archer had undergone a fitness test as a precautionary measure for a strain in his left side, local media reports. The big, fast pacer has been declared fit and will take the field against Australia in the big-ticket match at Lord's in London.

Virat Kohli had stopped the Indian crowd from booing Steve Smith over his ball-tampering ban. Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed said the team's fans won't boo Smith and David Warner. And they didn't. However, the two tainted batsmen are unlikely to get any support from England captain Eoin Morgan. Expect some hostile reception for the Australian duo from the crowd.

"I'm not expecting anything. I think fans and supporters up and down the country will have different reactions, as they will around the world. So we'll see. Supporters pay a lot of money, they do. In fact, England have won 12 of the last 14 ODIs against Australia. However, at World Cups, England's record against their familiar foes has been dismal -- 2 wins in 7 matches.

England take on Australia in one of the most anticipated matches of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 on Tuesday at Lord's in London.

The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a 20-run shock defeat to Sri Lanka on Friday. Eoin Morgan's men were billed as the hot pre-tournament favourites and they had started the tournament on a high crushing South Africa by 104 runs.

However, England bottled under pressure in their 2nd World Cup 2019 match against Pakistan, chasing a 349-run target. Nonetheless, England got their campaign back on track, crushing Bangladesh, West Indies and Afghanistan on the trot.

The biggest upset of the tournament came on Friday when England lost the plot while chasing a below-par total of 233 against Sri Lanka. Morgan's men were bowled out for 212 after a Lasith Malinga special in Leeds.
