Ian Wright has questioned Kasper Schmeichel’s actions towards Bertrand Traore during Leicester City’s win at Aston Villa on Sunday, as he told Wrighty’s House Podcast.

The moment Wright is making reference to is when Traore pulled a goal back during the 2-1 defeat.

Traore ended up on the floor after scoring and Schmeichel ended up on top of him after failing to clear the ball.

But for some strange reason, the Leicester man continued to kneel on the Villa winger’s leg as he lay on the floor and then got angry at Ollie Watkins, who was trying to help his teammate up.

All of this left Arsenal legend Wright ‘uncomfortable’ as Schmeichel’s actions didn’t sit well with him.

“Oh God, what was that about,” asked Wright. “What was he doing? I love the way Ollie Watkins come and pushed him off. I would have done the same.

“Why is he doing that? It felt very, how do I say it? I am so pleased you (co-host) brought it up because it made me feel very uncomfortable the way he was leaning on him and knelt on him.

“And he (Traore) didn’t do anything. It was just uncomfortable to see.”

Towards the latter stages of the second-half, Schmeichel was at it again and this time he was getting angry at Ollie Watkins after Douglas Luiz had been fouled.

Perhaps he’s angry because he’s a goalkeeper and who would want to be to stand in between the sticks for 90 plus minutes?

But either way, they were odd actions from the one-time Premier League winner.
