Do you feel the scoreline was a little harsh?
It's never been a 4-1. At 2-1 we've had an unbelievable chance and I am not quite sure how we haven't scored. I don't know how the one that's hit the post and the crossbar hasn't gone in. It drops to Mattie and there is not enough pace on the ball. The last two goals, that's me, we are 2-1 down and we've had two great opportunities so you are just trying to change it and go for it, with nothing to lose. I didn't think there was a lot in the game to be honest. They had a bit more of the ball, but I didn't think there was a lot in it. We can't give a goal away as quickly as we did, particularly from a corner and they are the best in the league from corners, the tell stats show you that. We had enough bodies in and around it, so that's a big moment in the game. They just had a little bit more quality than us in terms of between the two boxes.
So overall are you satisfied with your team's performance?
We have gone away to two really tough places and we should have come away with more than we have. That's part of the learning, but as I said before, in the first half of the season we have come to places like this and been absolutely played off the park. I might be biased, but that definitely didn't happen today.
At 2-1 down, the best chance of all came for you. Did you think you were going to get something then?
That's the frustration, because I think if we do score again, this is a different place then. If we peg them back to 2-2 with 20 minutes to go, the atmosphere is slightly different. We didn't and then a couple of bits of quality from them when we were just going for it. I have told the players not to look at the scoreline because it wasn't a 4-1.
The fact you didn't score again, is that bad luck, poor finishing or good goalkeeping?

Probably a bit of everything. You need a bit of luck and when the ball is bouncing around in the box, we need to finish that. We need the one that was an unbelievable strike, that nearly took the goal out of the pitch, but even if it doesn't go in, it doesn't quite drop for one of our lads. Probably an accumulation of all those things.
What did you say to the players at half-time?
We were a bit too slow. The pitch is difficult, but we were too slow. We played through them a little a bit better second half. Show a bit more belief. You can't hope to win at a place like this, you have to go and get it. We got on the front foot and had a 15-20 minute period when we were well on top and creating good chances, but we couldn't get that chance and they were always going to come back into it because they have some good players.
Two difficult away games this week, do you feel you've given a pretty good account of yourself?
Yes. I'd like to think that even Sheffield Wednesday fans will not be thinking "they were in League Two last year and they were useless" even though it was 4-1. We gave a good account of ourselves, without being brilliant, but I thought we did enough to not lose by three goals, put it like that.
You got Kion Etete back on for the last 15 minutes. How close to full fitness is he?
Ask Tottenham because we were told we could play him for 15 minutes so that's why he did. Hopefully that's it now and he'll get a full week's training and he'll be available. It was good to get him on, we went 4-3-3, which we rarely do and conceded two goals. We just thought we'd roll the dice and it clearly didn't work.

Why did Charlie Colkett miss out?
He felt his calf last week, so he was unavailable. Could be three or four weeks. It's an unfortunate one for him and there was good chance he might have played today because he was good against Plymouth. The life of football, goes in cycles, one comes in, one goes out.
Do you think you have been particularly unlucky with soft tissue injuries this season?
Yes, it's something we'll look into at the end of the season, not something for now. We'll look at patterns of injuries and the physios do that. It drives them mad and they take it as a personal insult, so it's something we'll have to look into.
Have you seen enough of Charlie Colkett to be able to make a decision on him for next season?
It's not a conversation I am prepared to have now. We'll sit down at the end of the season because it's not just us. He needs to want to stay and fit into a wage structure, so there are many more moving parts, than just us deciding whether we want him or not.
With Kion Etete, how hard is it being dictated by another club?
He is their player and they are a Premier League club so they are quite within their rights to do what they want with their asset. If he was ours, we'd be making the decision, but he's not. You can't complain or moan. It is frustrating, because he's done ever so well, but it's something we are not in control of.
You went out to the memorial before the game. How did that come about?
Apparently it was always getting done. Callum Wright came in yesterday and asked if he could do something. He wasn't born, but he's grown up with it being from Liverpool. It was a nice touch that the whole club went and did something. The most pleasing thing was it wasn't just a day out for Cheltenham. I thought we gave a good account of ourselves as well.
Did you have a moment of quiet reflection before the game?
Yes, I always do. I was sitting just there when it happened, so it's always a bit weird. I thought it was a good game of football today.
You are still 12th, with Accrington away next week who are just below you so all to play for in terms of staying in the top half?
Yes, it's tightened up with the other results, but we play all the team around us, like Accrington, Lincoln, Cambridge, so there's definitely something to play for. We've lost the last two games, but there is no way you look at the performances and think they've not tried, or they think the season is done now. That definitely is something that hasn't happened.
Sheffield Wednesday shouldn't really be in League One, should they?
They are in there for a reason, but it's not for me to say. You look at this place, look at the car park when you drive in, our lads were looking at their cars with envy, but they are where they are and that shows the progress we've made that we are going toe to toe with a team like this.
