Wealth Solutions, an expert in rare works of art and alcohol, has once again teamed with a watch brand to insert capsules of rare spirits inside a watch—for a timepiece you might prefer to drink than wear. Swiss independent watch brand, Louis Moinet, in cooperation with Wealth Solutions, unveils The Whisky Watch, with a drop of the oldest whisky in the world, Old Vatted Glenlivet 1862, inside.

The Whisky Watch was unveiled to the world last night at the Singapore Yacht Show. The watch, based on the brand’s Metropolis watch,  is designed and manufactured by Louis Moinet, inventors of the chronograph.  It features a three-level dial with applied open-worked markers, seconds indication via a subdial at 9:00, and the exclusive whiskey capsule at 3:00. The Whisky Watch  is powered by the LM45 automatic movement, with 22 jewels.  Just 50 pieces will ever be made. It is being offered in stainless steel (40 pieces) for 18,000 Swiss Francs and in 18-karat rose gold (10 pieces) for 46,000 CHF.

Wealth Solutions is  the originator of the Spirit Watches line of extraordinary watches with drops of unique alcoholic beverages inside. The first watch to be unveiled with alcohol in it was created in cooperation with Armin Strom and was the  the Cognac Watch (a watch with a drop of the oldest cognac in the world – Gautier 1762). That was followed by an introduction in cooperation with Peter Speake-Marin,  the Rum Watch (a watch with a drop of the oldest rum in the world – Harewood 1780).

The whiskey used in the watch was given courtesy of Sukhinder Singh, famed British Collector of rare alcoholic beverages and the owner of The Whiskey Exchange.  The bottle of Old Vatted Glenlivet 1862 was opened  on 14th March in Warsaw, Poland. It was tasted, poured into individual tiny bottles, sealed and given to Jean Marie Schaller, owner of Louis Moinet, to bring back to the watch atelier, where it was put into the miniature capsules and placed inside the watches.
