Sources: Man United agree £18m deadline-day signing

Manchester United have agreed to sign Atalanta winger Amad Diallo Traore for £18million, Football Insider understands.

The 18-year-old Ivorian forward has emerged as one of the brightest young talents in Serie A after he scored on his debut at 17 against Udinese in October 2019.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that the Red Devils have agreed an eight-figure to sign the teenager and that he will complete his move to Old Trafford in January 2021.

Traore has played just three times for Atalanta’s senior side to date, although he has been an unused substitute for the club’s first three Serie A games of the new season.

He caught the eye playing for the Bergamo outfit’s youth sides and scored 23 goals in 41 appearances with the under-17s.

He managed to continue his fine form as he stepped up into the under-19s as he netted 13 times and chipped in with a further 15 assists in 46 games.

The hot prospect, who was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, is now set to join Manchester United after the two clubs agreed terms of an £18million deal, although he will have to wait until January until he links up with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.

Manchester United’s only new signing before deadline day had been 23-year-old Donny van de Beek from Ajax.

However, Solskjaer has managed to add Brazil international left-back Alex Telles to his squad in a late deal from FC Porto, while the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Cameron Borthwic-Jackson have left on free transfers.

In other Manchester United news, it can be REVEALED the club have agreed a £15million last-minute exit.
