The Hammers striker has said he will be looking to leave east London this summer

West Ham striker Javier Hernandez has admitted he wants to leave the club this summer and is currently looking at ways of an exit.

The Hammers highest paid player joined the club ahead of the 2017/18 season for £17m and was Slaven Bilic's marquee signing that summer in a window that saw Marko Arnautovic, Pablo Zabaleta and Joe Hart join the club.

But the Mexican striker hasn't been able to recapture his previous Premier League goalscoring form that he enjoyed at Manchester United, netting 16 times in 61 appearances in east London, starting only 36 of those.

He has been linked with a move away from the Hammers for the last six months and Valencia are rumoured to be a suitor of his while the MLS is also an option.

Speaking on the first episode of his bizarre new vlog called Naked Humans on Youtube, Chicharito has revealed he is looking to leave the Hammrs though if he stays for another year then so be it.

"I have an agent in Mexico. I need someone to get me stuff in Mexico too but Lauren, Romain is working as a team with us. He is the one more involved.

"He is Spanish so has more connections here. He’s searching for a club, if we can move. If not I will stay with West Ham easy, happy. I have one year left, but West Ham and I have decided it would just be easier to go out."

Hernandez recently welcomed his first child into the word and therefore missed out on Mexico's Gold Cup squad. He is his country's all-time leading goalscorer with 51 international goals.
