Former West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is not interested in bringing striker Albian Ajeti to West Bromwich Albion following their promotion to the Premier League, football.london understands.

The Swiss striker has failed to score for West Ham since moving to the club from Basel for £8million last summer, failing to make an impression on either Manuel Pellegrini who brought him to the club, or David Moyes who replaced the Chilean.

Ajeti was closing in on a move to Celtic in the Scottish Premiership but according to Sky Sports, the move has stalled as the striker assesses his options.

Football.London understands a loan deal was agreed with an obligation to buy from Celtic if Ajeti started a small number of games for £5million but the striker has since returned to Switzerland to have a think about his future.

Celtic still lead the way, according to sources. West Brom were interested in Ajeti last summer before Mario Husillos and Pellegrini convinced him to come to east London instead.

West Ham are keen to shift Ajeti off the wage bill at the club and while they were keen for his move to be a permanent, they were willing to accept a loan with an obligation to buy.

Ajeti played just four minutes of Premier League action under Moyes and made only nine top flight appearances last season as he was barely given the chance to make an impression with his only starts coming in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
