What Hakim Ziyech's comments about Sevilla mean for Arsenal and Liverpool

The Moroccan looks to be on the move from Ajax this summer

Ajax midfielder looks to be moving on from the Dutch club during the summer transfer window, with both Arsenal and Liverpool among the clubs linked to the 26-year-old.

21 goals and 24 assists for the Netherlands giants have alerted clubs to the qualities that the player can bring to their club.

Reports from the Netherlands from De Telegraaf (via the Mirror ) claim that the asking price for the attacker is in the region of £30m, with the player said to be eyeing a move to the Emirates Stadium.

The right winger has also been linked with a move to Spanish club Sevilla, a move in which the player himself has addressed in his recent comments.

"With all due respect, they're not a club that I leave Ajax for," Ziyech told Algemeen Dagblad (via Marca ).

"For me, it's key to improve in the sporting aspect.

"If it's not a club similar to Ajax, I do not see the reason to leave."

But what do these comments mean for Arsenal? If Ziyech would turn down a move to Sevilla due to them not competing in the Champions League, it may be the same case should Arsenal make an approach for the player, putting Liverpool in pole position for the player.
