David Haye does not believe injury will hinder him against Tony Bellew

DAVID HAYE has shrugged off concerns over his fitness ahead of his grudge match against Tony Bellew on Saturday.

Reports emerged earlier today suggesting David Haye was considering pulling out of the fight because of an Achilles injury he had picked up.

However, Express Sport understands he has no such plans and the injury has existed for a number of weeks.

The heavyweight flew to Germany on Tuesday where he visited Hans Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt, the doctor who operated on his shoulder in 2013.

The pair are understood to have remained close and Haye has attended a number of check-ups with the specialist since.

And now Haye, while travelling to the O2 Arena for a training session in front of the media, has revealed he is more than confident in his own condition this week.

"I'm back in sunny London and looking forward to my public workout where you'll be able to see my dodgy Achilles and my dodgy arm that's about to fall off in all its glory," Haye joked on Instagram.

“But because he is facing little old fat Tony Bellew, I think he believes he is going to walk through me and make it a real easy night.

“But, believe you me, he is in for a nasty, nasty shock."
