Atlantis FOUND? Underwater formation discovered on Florida coast 'matches prediction'

ATLANTIS may have been found off the coast of Florida, thanks to a prediction back in 1938, a bombshell documentary has claimed.

Atlantis: Bahamas underwater formation linked to predictions

Many have dedicated their lives to searching for the mythical city, first written about by Greek philosopher Plato. However, it may have been hiding in the North Atlantic Ocean all along. A strange rock formation around 50 miles from the coast of Miami, Florida, US, has baffled archaeologists and historians for years.

The Bimini Road is an underwater phenomenon near North Bimini island in the Bahamas.

It features an 800-metre-long compound of rectangular limestone blocks.

Amazon Prime’s new documentary “Proof That Left Historians speechless” revealed how the discovery could hold the answer to the age-long question.

The 2018 series detailed: “After an airplane spotted the mysterious underwater formation, many divers rushed to the area.

“In 1968, archaeologist Manson Valentine announced the discovery of a ‘paved road or stone wall’.

In 1938, Mr Cayce said Atlantis would start to rise from under the Bimini sea – he said it will be 1968 or 1969

Proof That Left Historians speechless

“The discovery showed two rock formations, the first is almost parallel to the road, dating back to 10,000BC.

“Many believe the Bimini Road, paved with perfectly cut stone slabs, are the remains of the mythical lost city of Atlantis.”

The documentary also revealed how the find in 1968 was thanks to a prediction made three decades earlier.

The series added: “After this discovery, some researchers linked it with the prediction of the ‘sleeping prophet’ Edgar Cayce who predicted future events.

“In 1938, Mr Cayce said Atlantis would start to rise from under the Bimini sea – he said it will be 1968 or 1969.”

The legend of Atlantis originates in Plato’s “The Republic” – a story handed down by generations.

In the book, Athens repels an Atlantean attack unlike any other nation in the known world, giving testament to his concept of a state.

The tale ends with Atlantis losing the favour of their deities and the city eventually sinks into the Atlantic Ocean.

However, the majority of present-day philosophers agree the story is of a fictional nature, claiming it was entirely made up by Plato.
