Centre-forward Connor Wickham misses out for the second match running as Sheffield Wednesday target a morale-boosting win at Queens Park Rangers this afternoon.

The Crystal Palace loanee, who has scored two goals in four outings since the restart, has not travelled to the capital, having failed to recover from a hamstring problem.

There is also no Jacob Murphy, with manager Garry Monk making four changes to the side who fell to a 3-1 defeat to Preston North End last time out. Murphy has handed first-team recalls to Tom Lees, Moses Odubajo, Alex Hunt and Josh Windass. It is academy graduate Hunt's first league start.

Liam Palmer is a notable absentee from the matchday squad while Joey Pelupessy and Atdhe Nuhiu have dropped out.

Experienced midfielder Kieran Lee remains on the sidelines with a calf injury and defender Osaze Urhoghide (knee) is also out.

Wednesday triumphed on their last visit to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, recording a hard-fought 2-1 victory in the FA Cup back in January after goals either side of half-time from Morgan Fox and Sam Winnall.

Owls line-up: Wildsmith; Lees, Iorfa, Borner; Odubajo, Bannan, Hunt, Luongo, Harris; Da Cruz, Windass. Substitutes: Dawson, Brennnan, Pelupessy, Hughes, Murphy, Reach, Shaw, Nuhiu, Rhodes.
